Georgia vs. Bama

On Monday, January 1oth, Georgia set off in an underdog game against Alabama in the NCAA championship. Bama was down a star receiver in John Metchie III. Bama took an early 3-0 lead in the 1st quarter with a 37-yard field goal. Then George Pickens made a highlight real catch to get them a first down. After that, it was mostly quiet until Georgia tied it up in the 2nd quarter with a 24-yard field goal. Then, the Heisman Trophy winner, Bryce Young then threw a deep ball to Jameson Williams who went down with an injury on the play. Later in the 2nd quarter, Bama took a 6-3 lead with a 45-yard field goal. Around 7 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, Bama takes the 9-3 lead with a 37-yard field goal. Then, with 3:09 left, Georgia gets a field goal closer with their kickers longest of the year, a 49-yard attempt drained to make it 6-9. In the 3rd quarter, Bryce young was looking for Jahleel Billingsley but was intercepted by Christopher Smith II. Later in the 3rd quarter around3 minutes left, Bama goes for a 49-yard field goal attempt but it was blocked and picked up by a Georgia player. Then, a few plays later, Zeus White muscled in for a touchdown, the score was then 13-9. In the 4th quarter, Bryce Young throws it from the 33-yard line to Agiye Hall to get them inside the 10. The Alabam Crimson Tide got the easy 21-yard attempt to make it a tight 13-12. The Georgia QB (Stetson Bennett) fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the defense. Rolling out inside the5, Bryce Young delivered a clutch TD to Cameron Latu to make the score 18-13. With the free play, Stetson Bennett made an amazing throw to Adonai Mitchell who made an amazing catch to take the lead, 19-18. Bennett on 3rd and 1, throws it to Brock Bowers for the touchdown to widen their lead to 26-18. Bryce Young, on 3rd down, underthrew it and it was intercepted by Kelee Ringo, who took it back for a pick-six to make it 33-18. At this point, there was less than a minute left and no hope for the #1 ranked Bama. The Bulldogs were seconds away from the biggest under"bull"dog comeback ever. On the final play, Bryce young was sacked on 4th and 11. The Georgia Bulldogs won the CFP National Championship.
